Abstract :ÖZET: Metoklopramid, dopamin reseptör antagonisti, üst gastrointestinal sistem motilitesini arttırmak ve kusmayı engellemek için antiemetik olarak kullanılan bir ilaçtır. Kan-beyin engelini kolayca aşar ve parkinsonizm, malign nöroleptik sendrom, akatizi, tardif diskinezi ve akut distonik reaksiyon gibi ekstrapiramidal sisteme ait yan etkiler oluşturabilir. Akut distonik reaksiyon acil tedavi gerektiren bir durumdur. Bu yazıda, acil servise uygun dozda metoklopramid kullanmakta iken akut distonik reaksiyon gelişmesi nedeniyle başvuran 19 yaşındaki bir bayan hasta sunulmuştur. ANAHTAR KELİMELER: Metoklopramid, akut distonik reaksiyon, Erişkin, Yan etki ACUTE DYSTONIA DUE TO USE OF METOCLOPRAMIDE ABSTRACT: Metclopramide is a drug which is using as a dopamine receptor antagonist, prohibitive of vomitting and enhancer of gastrointestinal motility. It can exceed blood brain barrier easily and can make side effects of extrapyramydal system like parkinsonism, akathisia, tardiff dyskinesia, malign neuroleptic syndrome and acute dystonic reaction. Acute dystonic reaction is situation which needs emergent treatment. In this case we present a 19 years old female patient who had an acute dystonic reaction while using metoclopramide in appropiate dose.   KEYWORDS: Metoclopramide, acute dystonic reaction, adolescent, side effect.
