Abstract :About 20% of total ionizing radiation exposure is from medical services, and radiation exposure during procedures can harm health. This study is a cross-sectional research conducted between May 2 and June 29, 2024, with 4th to 6th-year students of the Faculty of Medicine at Eskisehir Osmangazi University. It aims to determine the radiation protection knowledge levels of medical traniee and senior students, examine related variables, and evaluate their safe behavior levels. A total of 525 students (71.4%) participated. Knowledge of radiation protection was assessed using the \\\"Healthcare Professional Knowledge of Radiation Protection Scale\\\" (HPKRPS), and safe behavior patterns were evaluated with the \\\"Safety Behavior Scale\\\" (SBS). Analyses were performed using Chi-square tests, Logistic Regression, and Spearman Correlation. The study found that 342 students (65.1%) had inadequate radiation protection knowledge, particularly among those with fathers who had a middle school education, 4th graders, those with no family members in radiation jobs, those who had not received training, and those exposed to radiation without protection. The average score on the HPKRPS was 4.28 ± 1.79 (median: 3.9) and on the SBS, 21.99 ± 5.50 (median: 22.0). A weak positive correlation was found between HPKRP and SB scores (r = 0.301, p = 0.001). This study found that over half of participants had inadequate radiation protection knowledge, and higher knowledge levels correlated with safer behavior. It was suggested that medical education programs should include more on radiation risks and protection methods. Keywords : Radyasyon, Bilgi, İş güvenliği
