Abstract :Koyun yetiştiriciliği Diyarbakır için hem sosyo-ekonomik hem de istihdam sağlamak açısından son derece önemli bir yer tutmaktadır. Bu bağlamda Güneydoğu Anadolu koyunculuğuna genel bir bakış çerçevesinde ilin topoğrafik ve iklim özellikleri, bitki örtüsü, koyun varlığı, işletmelerin genel özellikleri ve üretim biçimi de irdelenmiştir. Bu derlemenin amacı Diyarbakır ilinde mevcut koyunculuğunun genel durumu konusunda bilgi vermektir. Sheep breeding takes an extremely important place for Diyarbakır in providing of both socio-economic and employment In this context, the topographic and climatic characteristics of the province, vegetation, sheep existence, general characteristics of the enterprises and production style are also examined within the framework of an overview of Southeast Anatolian sheep farming. The aim of this review is to give information the current status about the general situation of sheep breeding in Diyarbakır province
