Abstract :When a user-oriented design in restricted temporary shelters is read through children, the idea that such a relationship may create a paradox emerges. Considering that these areas are generally used after disasters, it is usual that the sudden, rapid and unplanned construction process cannot be carried out with participatory design practice. Within this approach, the study underlines that sheltering after a disaster is one of the most important needs of individuals and questions the feasibility of designing a post-earthquake temporary shelter center located in the city of Osmaniye, which defines an inward-oriented limited space, by considering the needs of children. From this point of view, data was collected through passive observation and interview techniques in order to analyze the needs and demands of children in Osmaniye temporary accommodation center, and it was revealed that approaches that focus on the user are suitable for projects to be carried out even in temporary accommodation centers that define a limited area.
