Abstract :Good product performance is essential for customer- focused strategies. Unless it is securedfully and firmly 100% customer satisfaction is not possible. Quality can oııly be achieved by providing the customer what he really needs throughout the product`s natural life. FMEA is a methodology which serves this purpose, i e. providing the quality at the source, therefore it is a pro-active method which ensures the reliability of product by detecting all the potential failures and making necessary improvements during the design and production phases.
