Abstract :This article is on local names of major tree and shrub types that grow naturally and leave significance in vegetation geography of Turkey. Most of these names leave been ascertained from local residents during studies condncted at different places while collecting plunt snipes, which were deterınined later. Their Latin names are according to alphabetical order while their Turkish names are in parenthesis, their local names are given after.
