Abstract :In this study, the aim is ta classify firms according to improvement efforts in the product development process. This research was conducted on Turkish manufacturing firms that have received ISO 9001-9002 certifications from Turkish Standards Institution, in 2000. Data received from the research were processed through the SPSS for Windows 10.0 and factor and cluster analyses are used. 48 questioners were run for the analyses. Cluster analysis results showed that three distinct clusters were examined. Then improvement efforts in the product development process of each cluster was evaluated.
