Abstract :It has been given more importance to the Small and Medium Sized Enterprises insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(SMSE); because of the economic and social benefits. One to one interviews with all SMSE’s, operating in Mersin, were conducted to find out the performance factors. It was found that success factors seemed to be growth, quality, knowledge and job experience, honesty and hard-working, creativeness and flexibility, and operating with main capital; whereas macro and micro conditions seemed to be the reasons for failures.
