Abstract :As pressures to compete more effectively in a global marketplace heighten, a technological shift is unfolding. Organizations are striving to redefine their business practices in order to increase quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction. Every level of operation up to senior executives is being re-evaluated based on their ability to meet business goals and objectives. As a result, organizations are becoming project-driven; that is, they are budgeting, planning and gauging business success through the success of the incremental projects and processes that drive their business. Under these circumstances the role of the project managers become more important.
