Abstract :Thu aim of this research was to investigate the effects of television watching on pre-school insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(4-6 year-olds); children`s behavior on the basis of parents’ ideas about the effects of television on their children`s behavior. A survey carried out with a questionary answered by the parents of preschool children attending private and governmental preschools located in Istanbul. The results revealed that, according to parents ideas, television watching had some effects on pre-school children’s imitational behavior and verbal behavior and socio-cultural levels of the parents were related to some effects of television watching.
