Abstract :Discussing the nature o f KOBİ, a short historical review o f the subject about discussing the nature of KOBI is given in the paper. The need far the structured approach is stressed, afterpresenting the recent developments in the field of a survey conducted in 1994 among 9 in İTÜ KOSGEB fîrms. “The general properties and some of the benefıts of structured approach far KOBİ development are summarized and structured tools and methodologies are reviewed` Finally, some structured System development efforts in Turkey are mentioned and some examples are presented.
