Abstract :In this assay, we try to show that, it is more useful for the govemment to delegate the monetary policy to an independent central bank who has to nın a consistent monetary policy. For this purpose, first of ali, the meaning of independence of a Central bank is stated. Later on, two ımportant assays wilh the content of independence is presented and the current situation of Turkey is reviewed
