Abstract :Öz Coğrafi faktörler, din, inanç, sanayi, teknoloji İktidar, sermaye, kültür gibi çeşitli faktörler kentsel mekâna ve kentsel yaşama yansımaktadır.  Bu çalışmada bu faktörlerin etkisiyle mekânın yeniden oluşturulma süreci incelenmiştir. Çalışma, kimliğin mekânı nasıl inşa ettiğini ve dönüştürdüğünü, buna karşın mekânın da kimliğe dolaysıyla toplumsal yaşama hangi yollardan nüfuz ettiğini anlamaya yönelik bir sorgulamayı içermektedir. Bu çalışma, mekân ve kimlik arasındaki ilişkiyi irdeleyen, her iki olgu arasındaki inşacı ilişkiyi tanımlayıcı ve yorumlayıcı bir çabaya dayanmaktadır. Ağırlıklı olarak literatür araştırması üzerinden şekillenen bu çalışmada mekân ve kimlik arasındaki ilişki, toplumsal ilişkilerin mekânsal izdüşümü olan kent ve kentsel mekân üzerinden yapılmaya çalışılmıştır. Anahtar Sözcükler: Mekân, Kimlik, Kentsel Mekân, Mekân-Kimlik Etkileşimi  Abstract Geographical factors, religion, belief, industry, technology, capability, capital and culture factors’ reflection to urban space and urban life. Also, a new formulation of the space was examined with the effects of these factors. The study includes questioning towards how the identitiy builds space and how the identity transforms into the space, comprehension of the space and identitiy’s penetration of social life in various ways. This study is based on efforts which is scrutinizing constructive relationship between both two facts: space and identity and interpretive efforts. The relationship between space and identity which is shaped with mainly the literature research, was tried to be composed on an urban city and urban space which is an urban projection of social relationships of urban.
