Abstract :945 yılında Bağdat’a giren Şiî Büveyhîler, Abbâsîler ve onların toprakları üzerinde 1055 yılına -Büyük Selçukluların gelişine- kadar hakimiyet kurmuşlardır. Bu dönemde siyasî açıdan gücü elinde bulunduran bu devlet, halifeliği -dinî liderliği- Abbâsîlerden almamış ve bunun nedeni olarak siyasî meşruiyetini kaybetmemek ve Sünnî halkın, ordunun ve Sünnî devletlerin yanı sıra Şiî Fâtımîlerin tepkisini çekmek istememesi gibi nedenler göz önünde bulundurulabilir. İşte bu makalede, Büveyhîlerin halifeliği devralmayışının nedenleri ortaya koyulmaya çalışılacaktır. In this period, this state, which possesses the power from the political point of view, has not taken its caliphate -religious leadership- from the Abbasid. This may be due to the fact that it does not want to lose its political legitimacy and they could be afraid the reaction of The Sunni people, the army and the Shiite Fatimid state. In this article, the reasons for the Buyids not taking over the caliphate will be tried.
