Abstract :Introduction: Maintaining reproductive health is a very pressing issue for women. Objective: The study was conducted to determine the attitudes of Syrian refugee women towards family planning and to examine the factors associated with these attitudes. Methods: The prospective, cross-sectional and descriptive study was conducted with 320 refugee women in Istanbul. Data were collected by the researcher using the Personal Data Form and the Arabic Attitude Scale towards Family Planning. Results: It was determined that the refugee women who participated in the study were 30,18,6 years old. It was observed that 40,6% of the women lived in Türkiye for more than five years, 50,60% received consultancy services for family planning in Türkiye. It has been determined that there exists a statistically significant association between the mean scores of all subscales of the Family Planning Attitude Scale and the duration of stay of refugee women in Türkiye (p<0.05). Conclusion: The attitudes of refugees who lived in Turkey for a long time, received family planning consultancy services, used family planning methods, had planned pregnancies, and had a high number of pregnancies, especially towards reproductive health and protection, were positive. In order to ensure that family planning services are inclusive, accessible and culturally sensitive to the needs of refugees, it is imperative that service providers take into account the unique cultural backgrounds and perspectives of the refugee population.
