Abstract :ZİYA GÖKALP`S CONTRIBUTIONS TOTHE TURKIHS SOCIOLOGY OF RELIGION TRADITION From one of the first sociologist Ziya Gökalp, is the same time the first religioussociologist in Turkey. He discusses in generaly from point he`s ideological andsociological identity. However he has other one identity as very important as theothers. He is founder modern sociology of religion in Turkey. In this article Gökalpwill be examine from this point. What are the contributions Gökalp`s to the sociologyof religion tradition in Turkey? And what is he`s methodology of sociology of religion?Is he ordinary a translator of Emile Durkheim? This and like this questions will bework lighting from perspective sociology of religion.
