Abstract :Recently, it has been observed that discussions pertaining to missionary and missionaryactivities have been increased in Turkey. It is argued that new legislations in line withthe extension of freedom of faith and though create in a more convenient socialclimate for missionary activities. It should be noted that majority of such discussionson missionary cannot be considered in a scientific manner. In this context, this articleaims to explain to following issues: dimensions of missionary activities in Turkey,reasons for religious conversion and main target of missionary, religious education andmissionary, and possibble changes and measures in Turkish religious education toprevent or decrease the influence of missonary activities on particulary youth.
