Abstract :In this article, the results of a field research that was carried out demonstrate thepsychological effects of prayers and worships on adolescents` mental health. The resultsof the questions were examined in the context of perception of prayer-worship andmental health. A questionnaire was applied to randomly selected sample of 450adolescent studying at secondary schools in the province of Bursa, which is assumed torepresent the whole population of adolescents in Bursa. The statistics used to analyze thegathered data included chi-square test along with other descriptive statistics such asfrequencies, means and percentages. The results of statistical analyses revealed that theprayer and worship in the adolescence period have positive psychological effects uponmental health of adolescents.
