Tom Stoppard`ın `Hint Mürekkebi` Oyununa Postmodern Bir Yaklaşım

Abstract :ÖZET Sanat, insanlığın başlangıcından beri duyguların dışavurumu, hayal gücünün ifade biçimi ve insani bir yaratı olarak kendini var etme çabası içindedir. Çağlar boyunca yönelimini değiştiren ve çeşitlendiren sanat, her dönemin insanına uygun biçem almış ve her seferinde yeni tanımlar edinmiştir. Postmodern anlayışı yaşadığımız bu çağda kavramların birbiri içine girmiş girift yapısı, sınırların kaldırılması ve belirsizlik olgusu sanata yeni bir boyut kazandırmıştır. Eski ve yeni, kimi zaman kesin hatlarla ayrılırken kimi zaman da iç içedirler. Bütün bu oluşumlar içinde tiyatro sanatı da, bu süreci kendi içinde diğer disiplinlerle olan bağını sürdürerek yaşamaktadır. Birçok sanatsal kavramın iç içe geçmiş olduğu postmodern yönelimi, Tom Stoppard’ın “Hint Mürekkebi” oyunu bağlamında irdelemek çağın tiyatro anlayışını algılamak bakımından faydalı olacaktır. Yazar bu oyununda postmodern öğeleri sıklıkla kullanmıştır, bu da oyunu incelerken bize ana arterler üzerinden yol alma bakımından kolaylık sağlamaktadır. Anahtar kelimeler: Postmodernizm, Hint Mürekkebi, Tom Stoppard, Absürd Tiyatro ABSTRACT Since the beginning of humanity, art has been struggling to generate itself as a humanly created form to express feelings and descript imagination. Changing and altering its directions towards ages, the art, has formed itself accordingly to the people of every era and each time gained new definitions. In this very era that we experience Postmodernity, the concrete structure of the interfused notions, disappearing borders, and the phenomenon of the uncertain cater the art for gaining another dimension. The old and the new sometimes entangle within each other whereas sometimes are separated by clear lines. Among this occurences the art of theatre is also keeping up with the process as it maintains its connections to other disciplines. It will be beneficial to scrutinize Postmodern orientation, that includes a lot of entangled artistic notions, in terms of Tom Stoppard’s stage play “Indian Ink”. The playwright frequently uses the postmodern elements in this particular play of his, which makes it easy for us to survey the play, following the main arteries of it.
