Abstract :Yorumculuk alanında, piyanoda pedal kullanımı çok önemli bir yer taşımaktadır. İcracının elde etmek istediği tınılar ve efektler doğrultusunda, eser üzerinde belirtilmese dahi pedal kullanımı gerekmektedir. Besteciler ve müziği yeniden yaratma yolunda kendine özgü yorum arayışında olan icracılar, pedallar sayesinde daha çeşitli tını olanaklarına sahip olabilmektedir. Bu araştırmada, diğer pedallara oranla daha az bilinen sostenuto pedal kullanımı ile ilgili fikirler sunulmaktadır.
