Abstract :Her ulusun tarihinde, çeþitlilik gösteren ideolojik yönelimler, 20.y.y. Almanya`sýWeimar Cumhuriyeti döneminde de görülmektedir. Bu dönemin devrimciruhunu temsil eden Käthe Kollwitz, hem sanatçý hem de kadýn oluþu nedeniyleyaþadýðý toplumun sosyo-kültürel sýkýntýlarýna çözüm getirmede sanatýnýkullanmýþtýr. I.Dünya savaþýnýn yarattýðý tahribatlar sonucu K.Kollwitz, feministhareketleri, barýþseverliði, iþçi sýnýfý mücadelelerini konu olarak eserlerineyansýtmýþtýr. K.Kollwitz hem kendi dönemine hem de daha sonraki süreçlere ýþýktutarak, toplumsal aydýnlanmanýn önemli temsilcisi olmuþtur
