Abstract :Listeria monocytogenes`in Tanımı, Bulunuşu ve Neden Olduğu Hastalıklar Nurten Özçelik Özet Listeria monocytogenes hayvanlarda ve insanlarda `listeriosis` olarak tanımlanan hastalığa neden olmaktadır. Son yıllarda listeriosis vakasında görülen artışa, belirli gıdaların tüketilmeleri neden olarak gösterilmiştir. Listeriosis`de risk grubunu hamileler, yeni doğan bebekler, çocuklar, immünsupresif bireyler ve uzun süre ilaç kullananlar oluşturmaktadır. Hastalığın kontrol altına alınmasında ampisilin ve penisilin`in etkili olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Anahtar Kelimeler: Listeria monocytogenes, listeriosis. Abstract Description and Occurrence of Listeria monocytogenes and Resulting Diseases Listeria monocytogenes causes disease known as `listeriosis` which is appeared on humans and animals. In recent years, because of the consumption of certain types of food, there has been an increase of out breaks of listeriosis. The risk groups in the `listeriosis` are pregnant, newborn babies, children, immunsupressive people and drug addicts. It is determined that ampicillin and penicillin are effective to control the disease. Key Words: Listeria monocytogenes, listeriosis.
