Abstract :Süleyman Demirel Üniversitesi TIP FAKÜLTESİ DERGİSİ: 1994 Mart; 1insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(1); Allerjik Rinit Harun Doğru1 Fehmi Döner Ahmet Akkaya Özet Allerjik rinit hastada belirli dönemlerde veya devamlı olarak şikayetlere neden olan ve uzun süreli tedaviyi gerektiren burun mukozasına lokalize bir hipersensitivite reaksiyonudur. Anahtar Kelime: Allerjik rinit. Abstract Allergic Rhinitis Allergic rhinitis is a hypersensitivity reaction localized in nasal mucosa that causes symptoms in the patients continuously or seasonally, and requires treatment for a long time. When persons who have genetic inclination to allergic diseases are faced with allergens, forms IgE antibody against these allergens. IgE antibodies passing into circulation are especially attached to mast cells and T-lymphocytes, Langerhans cells and eosinophils. When the same person is faced with similar allergen for the second time, allergen is connected with IgE antibody on the cells. Histamine and other substances, that are released, initiate allergic reaction in the nose. The symptoms such as nasal itching, sneezing, watery rhinorrhoea, and nasal congestion are seen in these patients. In this study, allergic rhinitis has been reviewed thoroughly. Key Word: Allergic Rhinitis.
