Abstract :SüleymanDemirel Üniversitesi TIP FAKÜLTESİ DERGİSİ: 1995 Eylül; 2insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(3); Kronik Böbrek Yetmezlikti Hastalarda Eritrosit Antioksidan Defans Mekanizmasındaki Değişimler Namık Delibaş Fehmi Özgüner M. Numan Tamer Özet Kronik böbrek yetmezliğinde insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(KBY);, metabolizma sırasında üretilen reaktif oksijen türleri ile antioksidan ve radikal toplayıcıları arasındaki denge değişir. Antioksidan dengedeki bozulmanın, KBJ`deki azalmış eritrosit yaşam süresi ve anemide bir etken olabileceği düşünülmektedir. Bu çalışmada, KBY U ve normal kişilerin eritrositlerinde superoxide dismutase insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(SOD); Ve glutathione peroxidase insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(GPx); enzim aktiviteleh ölçüldü. Hasta grubunda, SOD ve GPx aktiviteleri kontrol grubuna göre düşük bulundu insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(p``0.001);. Hasta grubunda, enzim aktiviteleri ile hemodiyaliz süresi arasında anlamlı pozitif korelasyon bulundu insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(SOD için r: 0.456, GPx için r: 0.401);. Sonuç olarak 1-KBY`li hastaların serbest radikal hasarına aday oldukları, 2- KBY`de düşük .eritrosit antioksidan defans mekanizmalarının eritrosit membranlarında lipid peroksidasyonuna ve böylece hemoliz ve anemiye yol açabilen önemli bir faktör olduğu, 3-Uzun süreli hemodiyaliz tedavisinin antioksidan enzim aktivitelerini olumsuz etkilemeyeceği kanısına varıldı. Abstract Changes in The Erythrocyte Antioxidant Defense Mechanisms in Patients with Chrohic Renal Failııre The eguilibrium bet\veen reactive oxygen species generated during metabolism and their scavengers and antioxidants are changed in patients with chronic renal failure insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(CRF);. The changed antioxidative homeostasis is thought to be afactor in decreased red blood celi survival and th`ereby of renal anemia in patients \cith CRF. in this study, activities of superoxide dismutase insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(SOD); and glutathione peroxidase insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(GPx); enzymes ~were determined in the erythrocytes obtainedfrom patients with CRF and from healthy subjects. in the patients group, SOD and GPx activities were lower than control values insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(p `0.001);. in the patients group signifıcantly positive correlation betvveen the enzyme activities and durations of hemodialysis treatment vere also found insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(r: 0.456 far SOD, r: 0.401 for GPx);. Conseauently it was considered that, l-Patients with CRF are candidates for free radical damage, 2-Reduced antioxidant defense mechanisms in the erythrocytes are important factors leading to peroxidation in the membrane lipid structure of the erythrocytes and thereby to hemolysis and anemia in the patients \vith CRF, and 3-Long ternı hemodialysis therapy didn `t influence the activity of antioxidant enzymes.
