Abstract :SüleymanDemirel Üniversitesi TIP FAKÜLTESİ DERGİSİ: 1999 Haziran; 6insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(2); Kronik Obstrüktif Akciğer Hastalarında Görsel Uyarılmış Potansiyeller Savaş Yaşar, Bülent Oğuz Genç, Emine Genç, Orhan Demir, Mecit Süerdem Özet Kronik obstrüktif akciğer hastalığında insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(KOAH); periferik sinirlerin etkilendiği bilinmektedir.Görme yollarında benzer bir etkilenme olup olmadığını araştırmak amacıyla KOAH`h 40 hastada insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(yaş ört. 63.5±6.6); görsel uyarılmış potansiyeller insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(VEP); kayıtlandı. `Pattern reversal` insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(PR);, VEP Pm latansları kontrol grubuna göre anlamlı ölçüde uzun bulundu. Bu sonucun endonöral hipoksi, endonöral mikroanjiyopati, demiyelinizasyon ve aksonal dejenerasyon ile ilişkili olabileceği düşünüldü. Anahtar Kelimeler: Kronik obstrüktif akciğer hastalığı, kronik hipoksi, görsel uyarılmış potansiyeller Abstract Visual Evoked Potentials in Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease Nerve conduction studies in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(COPD); have shown that peripheral neuropathy might be a feature of the disease. in order to evaluate whether a similar involvement exists in visual pathvıays, vve recorded the visual evoked potentials insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(VEP); in forty patients with COPD of mean age 63.5±6.6. Pattern reversal insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(PR); VEP PIÛO latencies were found to be signifıcantly prolonged than those of the control group suggesting that endoneurial hypoxia, endoneurial microangiopathy, demyelination and axonal degeneration might contribute to the prolongation of VEP latencies.
