Abstract :Free trade zones have been established as a key policy component to accelerate the implementation of infrastructure projects and economic development and create sustainable employment. In this regard, tourism, with its unique characteristics, can be considered as one of the main investment options in these areas. This research aims to investigate the role of free trade zones in the development of regional tourism and economic activities. Given the necessity and importance of the research, the research method used in this qualitative research is descriptive. free trade zones can play a significant role in the country\\\'s economy by having features that help increase exports, create employment, attract foreign investment, and attract domestic and foreign tourists. One of the key aspects of free zones is the creation of job opportunities for residents. Also, these zones help preserve the cultural identity of the community by promoting local culture and traditions. This not only helps to attract tourists interested in local culture and history but also strengthens the sense of belonging and pride among residents. The development of tourism in free zones not only leads to the improvement of the local economic situation but also helps to increase national income and strengthen the country\\\'s tourism industry. These positive economic impacts make free zones recognized as important economic centers in the country.
