Abstract :The Roots of Proper Understanding and their Impact on prophetic Hadeeth Jurisprudence: Imam Shawkani as an Example This research discusses a very important and critical issue: the issue of understanding and righteous conclusions which, for a long time, has been a point of dispute among knowledgeable and ignorant people to discover the roots of proper understanding and its criteria that lead to appropriate elicitation of jurisprudential rules by examining one of the preeminent thinkers of Islam – Mohammad bin Ali Alshawkani – who has a significant impact in correcting understanding and righteous conclusion because of his scientific and practical qualifications and skills, his nature and education, and his qualities that distinguished him and enabled him to be more understanding and flexible in a strict and traditional society
