Abstract :This study analyzes the impact of the United Nation’s (UN) peacekeeping missions on the ongoing internal conflict in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). Based on existing literature and reports from international organizations, the article evaluate the successes, failures, and limitations of the United Nation’s peacekeeping operations by using the literature. Internal factors related to the DRC, problems stemming from neighboring countries, and limitations stemming from the UN\\\'s structure are the main challenges in peacekeeping operations. Despite the challenges faced by the UN in its peacekeeping efforts, positive results have also been achieved in establishing peace and sustainable security in the DRC. Lessons learned from the UN’s peacekeeping operations in the DRC are summarized and translated into several policy recommendations that may be useful for future peacebuilding and maintenance efforts in the DRC and other countries facing similar challenges. Keywords : Birleşmiş Milletler, Afrika Birliği, Demokratik Kongo Cumhuriyeti, M23, Barışı sürdürme
