Abstract :In this study, 42 etudes in Vladislav Blazhevich’s 70 Studies for BB Flat Tuba Vol.I, which are frequently used in tuba education, were analyzed in terms of range, dexterity, rhythm and tempo, and miscellaneous compositional techniques in order to determine their difficulty levels. For rating criteria, the repertoire rating system developed by the International Tuba Euphonium Association insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(ITEA); was used. In order to determine the score reliability of the etudes, three different experts in their respective fields were asked to re-score ten randomly selected etudes. Fleiss Kappa statistics were used to calculate the level of agreement among the interrater, and it was found that the reliability level was significantly consistent. Following the rating, the etudes were classified under five categories and their difficulty levels were determined. As a result, it was determined that the 42 etudes in Vladislav Blazhevich’s 70 Studies for BB Flat Tuba Vol.I are concentrated in the third and fourth categories among the five difficulty categories.
