Abstract :Immanuel Kant\`s Critique of Pure Reason is a highly regarded work in modern philosophy. However, it can be challenging to understand due to the complexity of his ideas, particularly regarding space and time. These concepts have been debated since the book\`s publication and have played a crucial role in reconciling opposing rationalist and empiricist theories in 20th-century space discussions. Despite Kant\`s profound influence, there still needs to be an agreement on characterising or explaining his ideas. This critical article aims to provide clarity by examining Kant\`s argument that space is an a priori intuition and situating his views within the central debates of the concept. The article explores the distinction between empirical and a priori intuition and evaluates Kant\`s claim that space is an intuition rather than a concept. Finally, by comparing Kant\`s views on space with those of Isaac Newton and Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz, the article concludes that Kant\`s perspective on space as a priori intuition is accurate.
