Abstract :There are many factors affecting response time. Age and gender are among the factors affecting response time. This study investigates visual response times in boys and girls aged 10-13 years, considering age and gender as influential factors. Seventy-five boys (11.67 ± 1.04 years) and 60 girls (11.45 ± 1.02 years) participated voluntarily. Visual reaction times were measured using the Light Trainer device. Participants were instructed to switch off lights with sensors positioned at arm\\\'s length without touching them. Significant differences were observed in age group comparisons: 10 0.05). Among girls, significant decreases were recorded at 10 0.05). Males showed significantly lower reaction times in the 10 0.05). When the genders were compared, no significant difference was found between 10, 12 and 13 years old (p>0.05), while 11-year-old girls had lower response times (p<0.05). It was observed that visual response times improved with age. In this study, eleven-year-old girls showed superior performance compared to their peers.
