Abstract :The aim of this study was to examine the effects of a brief, high-intensity functional training program conducted after basic strength training on isoinertial power measures of the upper and lower extremities in top wrestlers. The study involved 17 elite male freestyle wrestlers who had completed an eight-week strength training program. The participants completed a two-week functional training program targeting the upper and lower extremities (four sessions in total). Before and after training, Desmotec devices were used to measure average power, concentric and eccentric peak power, and movement duration. The findings showed statistically significant improvements in concentric and eccentric power outputs across all extremities. Specifically, lower-extremity maximum concentric peak power and average concentric power increased (p<.001), while upper-extremity maximum eccentric peak power and average eccentric power also increased (p<.001). In addition, movement duration decreased significantly (p<.001). In conclusion, short-term functional training following a foundational strength phase appears to be an effective method for rapidly improving the explosive power characteristics and rate of force development in the upper and lower extremities of elite wrestlers. Keywords : Fonksiyonel Antrenman, Güç, Güreş, İsoinertial, Performans
