Abstract :This study aimed to examine the effect of non-pathological longitudinal arch height on anaerobic power levels in sedentary individuals. A total of 81 sedentary males and 67 sedentary females aged between 18 and 25 participated in the study. Participants were divided into high arch (HA) and low arch (LA) groups based on the Hernandez-Corvo Longitudinal Arch Index (LAI). Anaerobic power was assessed using the vertical jump (VJ), horizontal jump (HJ), and penta jump (PJ) tests. According to the findings, in females, the HA group showed significantly higher performance in HJ (157.44±18.67 cm, 139.78±24.1 cm) and PJ (781.89±76.9 cm, 698.53±125.6 cm) compared to the LA group (p<0.001). Furthermore, in females, LAI was positively correlated with HJ (r=0.398) and PJ (r=0.400). However, no significant relationship was found between LAI and VJ performance. In males, no significant differences were found between LAI and anaerobic power parameters. In conclusion, a high longitudinal arch appears to positively influence horizontal and sequential jump performance in sedentary females, while this effect was not observed in males. This difference may be attributed to sex-related biomechanical variations. The study highlights the potential influence of foot morphology on anaerobic performance in sedentary individuals and suggests that future research should include kinematic analyses and athletic populations for more comprehensive results. Keywords : Ayak arkı, Longitudinalis ark, Ark yüksekliği, Anaerobik güç, Fiziksel performans
