The Mediating Role of Sense of Calling in the Effect of Human Resources Practices on the Work Meaning: A Research on Tourism Employees

Abstract :The aim of the study is to determine the mediating role of the perception of a sense of calling in the effect of human resource management practices on work meaning, and to reveal the relationship between human resource practices, work meaning, and the sense of calling. The study examines employees in the tourism sector of Antalya in 2024. The study includes 712 employees from tourism enterprises in the Antalya region, selected using the convenience sampling method. This research follows an exploratory and descriptive approach designed in the relational survey model. In the study, the JAMOVI 2.3.28 program is utilized for validating the scales and analyzing the research data. According to the findings, human resource practices in enterprises have a positive and significant effect on work meaning, as well as a positive and significant effect on employees\\\' sense of calling. Additionally, the research finds that employees\\\' sense of calling has a positive and significant effect on work meaning. The results suggest that prioritizing human resource practices in tourism enterprises positively and significantly contributes to employees\\\' work meaning and sense of calling. Therefore, it can be concluded that tourism enterprises should prioritize human resource practices in order to adapt to sustainable competitive conditions.Keywords : İnsan Kaynakları Yönetimi Uygulamaları, İşin Anlamı, Meslek Aşkı
