Mite Diversity (Acari) from Ornamental Plants in Erzurum in Turkey

Abstract :Mite species belongs to Tetraychychidae insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(3);; Tenupalpidae insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(2);, Stigmaeidae insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(1);, Tydeiidae insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(2);, insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Acari: Prostigmata);; Phytoseiidae insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(10); insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Acari: Mesostigmata); and Acaridae insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(1); insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Astigmata); were identified on woody ornamental plants and shrubs in Erzurum insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Eastern part of Turkey);. The samples were collected from Erzurum insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Centrum, Pasinler, Köprüköy, Horasan, Aziziye-Ilıca, Aşkale, Tortum, Uzundere and Çat districts); with a weekly interval between April to October during 2015 and 2016. Five species were phytophagous mites insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(belong to Tenuipalpidae and Tetranychidae);, while the others are considered as predators or feed on microorganisms, neutral in their habitats. Nineteen mite species representing in three orders: Amblyseius andersoni insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Chant);, Kampimodromus aberrans insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Oudemans);, Euseius finlandicus insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Oudemans);, Typlodromus cotoneastri insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Wainstein);, Neoseiulus astutus insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Beglyarov);, Phytoseius finitimus Ribaga, Typhlodromus insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Anthoseius); kerkirae Swirski and Ragusa, Typhlodromus insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Anthoseius); recki insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Wainstein);, Paraseiulus soleiger insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Ribaga);, Neoseiulella tiliarum insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Oudemans);, Zetzellia mali insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Ewing);, Tydeus kochi Oudemans, Tydeus californicus insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Banks);, Tetranychus urticae Koch, Bryobia rubrioculus insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Scheuten);, Bryobia praetiosa Koch, Cenopalpus pulcher insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Canestini & Fanzago); Brevipalpus californicus insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Banks);, Tyrophagus putrescentiae. These results showed that Erzurum has rich biodiversity especially concerning predatory mite fauna. T. urticae insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Schrank);, was the most abundant and common phytophagous species insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(53.11%); while some other species were represented only one specimen insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Neoseiulus astutus insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Beglyarov); insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Phytoseiidae);. Most preferred hosts plants were Philadelphus coronarius L. insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Hydrangeaceae); insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(8);, Malus coronaria L. insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Rosaceae); insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(7); and Rosa canina L. insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Rosaceae); insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(6); while Syringa vulgaris L. insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Oleaceae);, Salix sp. insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Salicaceae); and Rosa pisiformis insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Christ); insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Rosaceae); were populated by only insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(2); and insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(1); mite species respectively.
