Abstract :Osmanlı fetih usullerinden olmak üzere, yeni alınan bir yerin ahalisi nüfus kalitesi dikkate alınarak devletin farklı bölgelerine, kaliteli nüfus ise özellikle İstanbul`a iskan edilmiştir. II. Mehmed döneminde Osmanlı hakimiyetine giren Karamanoğulları Beyliği sınırları içerisindeki nüfusun bir kısmı da İstanbul`a sürülüp yerleştirilmiştir THE POPULATION TRANSFERRED FROM KARAMAN REGION TO ISTANBUL DURING THE REIGN OF MEHMET II THE CONQUEROR As a form of conquest by ottomans, inhabitants of a place newly conquered were transferred to different area of the empire by considering the quality of the population, especially to the Istanbul. A part of the population in the border of Karamanoglu which was conquered by Sultan Mehmet II was transferred to Istanbul
