Abstract :Bir savaşta cephe içinden ses veren en önemli kaynaklar hiç şüphesiz mektuplar ve hatıratlardır. İletişimdeki teknolojik gelişmelerin henüz yaşanmadığı dönemlerde ailelere yollanan mektuplar, harp tarihi için birçok bilgiyi içerdiği gibi savaşın psikososyal yönüne dair önemli bilgiler de verir. Bu kapsamda geçtiğimiz aylarda raflardaki yerini alan Bir Rus Subayın Kars Mektupları isimli eser, savaşın cehennemi içinde dünyaya açılan pencere misali mektup türüne güzel bir örnek teşkil eder.
