Abstract :The present study examines land consolidation projects carried out in the Gölhisar district of Burdur. Land consolidation represents a pivotal agricultural regulatory instrument, with the objective of enhancing the configuration of land parcels and fostering the development of rural infrastructure through the integration of dispersed and fragmented agricultural territories. The project has been shown to engender a number of advantages, including an increase in agricultural productivity, an improvement in the quality of irrigation and road services, and a reduction in production costs. In the study, a comprehensive analysis was conducted of consolidation rates, loss rates, parcel numbers and parcel sizes in different rural areas. In the examples from Gölhisar, Burdur, a decrease in the number of parcels and an increase in the average parcel size were observed in areas where consolidation rates were high. The findings of this study demonstrate that the reduction of fragmented ownership structures and the enhancement of land use efficiency exert a positive influence on agricultural productivity. The findings indicate that consolidation projects have the capacity to enhance agricultural production and make substantial contributions to the development of rural areas. These studies are of great importance in terms of sustainable agriculture and rural development.
