Abstract :The Book of Dede Korkut is one of the most important creation of Turkish literature. The Book contains twelve epic stories. This article deals with a Victory of a sagacious, power and heredity in the story of Tepegöz, which is the eighth narrative in the Book of Dede Korkut. In order to archieve this, first of all, the narrative is summarized, and than the main idea of the story is gradually explained
