Abstract :Bu çalışma, psikiyatr Mustafa Merter’in ben-ötesi psikolojisi ekseninde yazdığı “Dokuz Yüz Katlı İnsan” adlı kitabın incelenmesini amaçlamaktadır. Merter, psikoloji ile maneviyatı harmanladığı söz konusu bu eserinde, transpersonel psikoloji perspektifinden modern insanın içinde bulunduğu varoluşsal sıkıntılara ilişkin İslam tasavvuf öğretisinin zengin kaynaklarından yararlanarak Batı ve Doğu düşüncesinin buluştuğu ortak bir zeminde okuyucuya farklı bir insan betimlemesi sunmaktadır.
