Abstract :Bu çalışmada, son yıllarda iş hayatında teknolojinin etkisiyle ortaya çıkan de­ğişimler ve bunların işletmelere etkisi ele alınmıştır. Kullanılan yeni teknoloji­lerin başında bilgisayarlar gelmektedir. İşletmelerde bilgisayar kullanımıyla rekabette öne çıkmak, verimlilik sağlamak ve tasarruf yapmak amaçlanmak­tadır. Bu beklentiler nitelikli, diğer ifadeyle bilgisayar okuryazarlığı olan işgü­cü ile karşılanabilir. Bu yüzden günümüz şartlarında işgücünden beklenilen, bilgisayarı ve başlıca yazılımları (sözcük işlemci, hesap tablosu, sunum vb.) kullanabilmesidir. Bu konuda Anadolu Üniversitesi büro çalışanları arasında bir araştırma yapılmış ve çalışanların bilgisayar okuryazarı oldukları sonucu çıkarılmıştır. In this study, the changes in the business life due to technology and the impact of these changes in the firms are evaluated. Computers may be regarded as the most influential among the new technological develop­ments. By using computers firms are planned to increase efficiency, reduce costs and finally gain an advantage in the competitive environment. At the same time, these expectations should be met by the people who has computer using skills. These objectives, expectations require skilled people having computer literacy in the office. For this reason, the work force that operate in most of the firms are expected to use computers and main software such as word processor, financial tables and presentation programs in today's demanding conditions. in this context, a research has been conducted among the staff personnel in the Anatolian University and the result of the study shows that these people has computer using skills.
