Abstract :This study aims to determine whether the sub-dimensions of five personality traits at a significant level predict the sub-dimensions of the variables `Self-compassion`, `Coping Strategies` and `Communication.` During the 2018-2019 academic year, the sample for the research includes 336 university students. Of the students, 243 are women and 93 are males. The Five-Factor Personality Scale, Self- Compassion Scale, Coping Strategies Scale, and Communication Skills Scale were used as a data collection tool. There was a multivariate regression analysis done. The results of the study showed that the relationship between extraversion and self-compassion is positive and that there is a negative relationship between emotional stability and self-compassion. The study`s other finding is that individuals with higher levels of self-compassion use coping mechanisms effectively. The consequences of these findings were discussed in the conclusion.
