Abstract :This study was conducted to examine the imagination levels of boys aged 10–13 who participated in recreational football activities, with a focus on different variables. The literature indicates that individuals engaged in recreational football exhibit differences across various dimensions, and imagination may be one of the domains in which such differences emerge. The sample consisted of children aged 10–13 residing in Ankara. Data were collected using the Children’s Sports Imagination Scale developed by Kafkas (2011), together with a Personal Information Form, both of which have established validity and reliability in Turkish. Descriptive statistics were employed in the analysis. According to the t-test results of the imagination scale by activity type, a significant difference was observed in the cognitive specific-motivation sub-dimension between children participating in two-day activities and those participating in four-day activities. While significant differences were found in the activity frequency variable of the cognitive specific-motivation sub-dimension, no significant differences were identified in the cognitive general and motivation general-mastery sub-dimensions. These findings suggest that participation in recreational football activities may influence children’s imagination levels in certain dimensions.
