Estimation of Reference Evapotranspiration inside Greenhouses in Arid Condition

Abstract :Because of the large area utilized by a class A pan, alternative methods have been used to estimate reference evapotranspiration insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Et o ); inside greenhouses. The objective of this work was to compare ET o estimated by different methods inside and outside a greenhouse. A class A pan insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(CAP i );, lyismeter insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(L i ); and piche tube insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(PT i ); were installed inside a greenhouse, and another class A pan insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(CAP o ); was installed outside. ET o estimates, obtained by CAP i , PT i , and L i were 81%, 56% and 86%of those estimated by CAP o , respectively. A simple linear regression showed positive coefficients insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(R = insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(0.96); for the L i and the CAP i ,R = insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(0.95); for the PT i and the CAP i , R = insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(0.88); for the CAP i and the CAP o , R = insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(0.96); for the L i and the CAP o , and R = insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(0.82); for the PT i and the CAP o );. ET o needs to be estimated inside greenhouses and it is possible to use lyismeter or piche tube to estimate the ET o inside the greenhouse. Equipment replacement would increase the available space inside the greenhouse.
