Abstract :This study was conducted to investigate the effects of adding different levels of turmeric powder to the diet during the rearing period on body weight changes, feed evaluation characteristics, and slaughter traits of quails, and to determine the most suitable ratio of turmeric powder to be added to the feed. The study was conducted with a total of 480 insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(n=120); one-day-old quails, divided into 4 groups, each comprising 6 replicates. The group characteristics were as follows: the control group was fed with basal feed + 0% turmeric powder, the 0.5 Turmeric group was fed with basal feed + 0.5% turmeric powder, the 2.5 Turmeric group was fed with basal feed + 2.5% turmeric powder, and the 5 Turmeric group was fed with basal feed + 5% turmeric powder. Weekly changes in body weight, as well as daily feed consumption and feed utilization rates determined between the start and 5 weeks, and between the start and 6 weeks, showed differences in the turmeric powder-supplemented groups compared to the control group insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(P 0.05);. As a result, for higher body weight gain, reduced feed consumption, and improved feed utilization rate, it is recommended to use ratios of 0.5%, 2.5%, and 5% of turmeric powder during the 1-5 week period, and a ratio of 0.5% in the 6th week.
