Abstract :Mesleğini çok seven ve akademinin evrenselli ine çok inanan bir bilim insanıydı. Bilginin gücüne ve bilim insanlarının gayretine çok saygı duyardı. Uzun yıllar birlikte görev yaptığımız Tarih bölümünün önce öğrencisi, sonra hocası olarak iz bırakanlarından birisi oldu. Bölümü her zaman -bazen fazlaca- sahiplendi. Çalışma odasındayken zaman dururdu, mesai kavramı biterdi. Bölümü evi gibi görür, burada olmayı çok severdi. Her zaman çalışkan, düzenli ve tertipliydi.
