Abstract :Museums are not only institutions that preserve the cultural memory of societies, but also serve as important components of cultural and educational development. Since their emergence in history, museums have fulfilled a range of functions, including collecting, preserving, and exhibiting cultural artifacts. One of their most significant roles is education, which can be implemented through pre-visit, during-visit, and post-visit phases. The sustainability of this function depends on increasing the accessibility and visitation rates of museums. In this context, museums employ various strategies such as weekend workshops, concerts, temporary exhibitions, virtual museums, and augmented reality applications. Moreover, it is essential for educators to recognize the educational potential of museums, particularly in their capacity to reach wider audiences such as children and youth. Educational activities designed for teachers are considered a key step in this process. Following consultations with the Kütahya Provincial Directorate of National Education, a voluntary museum education program was planned for teachers from different branches. In 2023, educational practices were carried out by three academicians at the Private Ahmet Yakupoğlu Museum with the participation of 27 teachers. The study aimed to examine teachers\\\' attitudes toward museum-based education, employing a five-point Likert-type scale as the data collection instrument. The findings revealed that teachers expressed high levels of satisfaction, willingness to participate again, and enjoyment of the learning process. Additionally, they reported gaining a better understanding of the city’s history, art, and archaeology, and expressed a desire to frequently use museums as out-of-school learning environments. Keywords : Müze, eğitim, müze eğitimi, okul dışı eğitim, Kütahya.
