Abstract :ÖZET Feminizmin bir paçası olarak ortaya çıkan feminist sanat olgusu, 1960’lı yıllarda ataerkil toplum yapısına karşı kadın değerlerini vurgulama amaçlı yapılanarak, zaman içinde günümüze kadar ulaşmış ve demokrasi üzerinde etken oluşturmuştur. Bu çalışma kapsamında; demokrasi, feminizm ve feminist sanat başlıkları incelenerek bir takım analizler ortaya koyulmaya çalışılmıştır. Feminist sanat üzerinden demokrasi kavramı üzerine incelemeler yapılmış ve bu da çalışmayı özgün niteliğe taşımıştır. Sanat ve demokrasi bağlamında kadın çalışmaları ile literatüre katkı koyması hedeflenmiştir. Uluslararası alanda ses getirmiş feminist sanatçıların eserleri incelenip, demokrasi olgusu bağlamında sorun saptamaları araştırmanın temel konusunu oluşturmuştur. ABSTRACT The phenomenon of feminist art, which emerged as part of feminism, can be traced back to the 1960s to emphasize feminine values ​​against the patriarchal society. Feminist art has continued to this day and has had influence on democracy. The scope of this work is democracy, feminism and feminist art. This study investigates the concept of democracy through feminist art which resulted in a unique characteristic. In the context of art and democracy, this study aims to contribute to the literature through investigating studies about women. This research  investigates some of the works done by feminist artists that have raised their concern in the international arena and determines the problems associated with democracy as its main subject.
