Teachers` Views on Effective Use of 5E Model in Primary School Mathematics Education

Abstract :This study was carried out to investigate the classroom teachers` constructivist approach models, their use of the 5E Model in mathematics lessons, their opinions about the positive and negative aspects of the model, and their suggestions on what kind of applications can be used to enrich the model. The working group consisted of a classroom teacher insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(n = 9); with a service period of 9-33 years. The study is a descriptive study and purposeful sampling was used. The data were obtained by semi-structured interview technique and content analysis was performed. As a result of the study, it was stated that the teachers are not alien to the steps in this model, they generally use but do not know that they are called as `5E Model`, although they have hesitations about using the model in the current classroom conditions, the majority of them find the 5E Model useful and it will be more suitable above the 3rd grade level.
