Abstract :In this article causes of financial crisis are firstly explained in brief, secondly recent trends in Direct Foreign Investment inflows and outflows to and from OECD countries and also between developed and developing countries are analyzed. After that, the macroeconomic impact of Direct Foreign Investment on host country economies is discussed by analyzing China and the effects of Direct Foreign Investment on that country\`s economic growth, domestic investment, employment creation, exports and foreign trade balance. Finally under these topics are analyzed Turkey\`s portfolio investments and Direct Foreign Investments structure.
